The following documents require Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0, or greater. To download Acrobat Reader, click the "Get Acrobat" button.

Click any of the following buttons to launch the learning documents. There is no need to print any of this material. The following index includes links to condensed versions of the Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge (FAA-H-8083-25) and Airplane Flying Handbook (FAA-H-8083-3A).

"AlphaTrainer's Learning Guide" is to be used in conjunction with the two FAA texts, making these truths tangible, visible, and easily understood.

"Principles of Flight" is the second chapter of the "NEW" Pilots Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge (AC 8083-25). This chapter covers basic aerodynamics and the laws and principles that apply to flight.

"Slow Flight, Stalls, and Spins" is chapter 4 of the "NEW" Airplane Flying Handbook (FAA-H-8083-3A). This chapter explains slow flight, and continues with stall and spin recognition, characteristics, and recovery.

"Instructions -- Using AlphaTrainer Original" illustrates just a few of the scenarios AlphaTrainer can show. The training device can simulate many other situations to help you become more familiar with how an airplane's wing behaves in flight.

We trust you will enjoy this material and we hope you will pass along this website to your friends.
